In the studio with… Anthony Daley
How long have you been at APT?
Been at APT since its inception. And was at The Greenwich studio complex prior to APT.
Describe APT in three words...
Effective studio/gallery complex.
What is your practice and how do you like to work in your studio?
I'm essentially a painter. Revelling in the endless possibilities offered up by traditional painting materials , typically, oil paint on canvas.
Which artists have influenced you?
I realised early in life that nature may be beautiful at times but it lacks an imagination. I love the conversations one can have with people like Rubens, Constable, Turner and others even though they're long dead.
What is the most unusual thing someone might find in your studio?
I never consider my things to be unusual but someone did remark on a bottle of nail varnish which I now use to protect my toenails from further problems that started in my football playing days.
