Liz Harrison
Liz Harrison lives and works in London. Her practice spans a broad range of eclectic media, incorporating the sculptural object, site specific installation, lens-based projection, illusion and image. Research interests continue to centre around the definition and articulation of ideas concerning space, mapping traces of human activity and presence. The human condition, with its physical and psychological estrangements is informed by the daily ritual and repetitious nature of everyday life.
She studied at Manchester College of Art and Design, and at the Slade School of Fine Art. She has shown extensively in London, including at the ICA, Serpentine, and Whitechapel Art Galleries, and in the UK and Europe. She was Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Camberwell College of Arts, London University of the Arts from 1987-2008.
