APT Mentoring Award
This year will be the first year of The APT Mentoring Award. Following on from previous awards like The Clyde Hopkins Mentoring Award and The APT and Fenton Arts Trust Mentoring Award, APT strives to continue providing a space for two mentees to join our community for the year.
The yearlong award is designed to provide space and support during the period between education and professional practice, with a communal mentoring relationship.
Programme
The Award provided Mentees:
1 year fully paid accessible studio
Advice and general support about their current practice from APT Members
1 week exhibition at APT Gallery
Introductions to meet relevant members in the community of APT – artists, trustees and staff
Participation in the annual Open Studios
Opportunity to take part in the Gallery and Programming Sub-Committee and the Annual General Meeting to understand how a Charity operates
Induction to include H&S tour, Data Protection Guidance and General APT information
Opportunities to be involved in other APT led projects throughout the year
