Mali Morris is one of the founder Artist-members of A.P.T.
She was born in North Wales and studied Fine Art at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (BA) and the University of Reading (MFA). She has shown extensively, in UK, USA and Japan, since her first solo shows at the Serpentine Summer Show in 1977 and the Ikon Gallery in 1979. A touring exhibition was organized by Angel Row Gallery Nottingham in 2002-3. Mali Morris: Work From Four Decades, and Mali Morris: Recent Work took place at Poussin Gallery, London, in 2005 and 2008. Her exhibition Small Works was at the Royal Academy of Arts London, 2010, touring to The Cut Gallery Halesworth, 2011, and Mostyn Gallery Llandudno, 2012. Back to Front, a solo show at Eagle Gallery London, was in 2012. A solo show at Fold Gallery London is forthcoming in October 2017.
Three shows with Stephen Lewis were Pressure Drop and Hoopla in Berwick upon Tweed, 2012, Odelay and Wishpool, at Kapil Jarawala London in 2014 and PIER at Linden Hall Studio, Deal, in May 2017.

Her work is in private, corporate and public collections worldwide, including Arts Council England, British Council, Contemporary Art Society, Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge, National Museum of Wales Cardiff, Pallant House Chichester, Royal Collection and Whitworth Art Gallery Manchester. She is the recipient of awards, scholarships and residencies, and has taught and examined in Departments of Fine Art across UK, including University of Newcastle, University of Reading, Royal College of Art, Slade School of Art, and Chelsea College of Art and Design, where she was a Senior Lecturer 0.5 from 1991- 2005.
Mali Morris chaired the panel of Jerwood Contemporary Painters 2009, was Selector/Mentor of Jerwood Painting Fellowships, 2012-13, and Selector for John Moores Painting Prize China, 2014. In September 2017 she will be Visiting Artist at Vermont Studio Center, USA.
In March 2010 she was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts, is currently Chair of the Learning Committee there, and shows regularly in the annual Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions. She is a Trustee of Poetry London.
